Set up the OXIMAX N-65
Connect a Nellcor O
SpO sensor port. You may use an extension cable to

provide more distance between the monitor and the
sensor. Use only the DEC-4 extension cable available
from Nellcor.

Inaccurate Monitor Measurements

Physiological conditions, medical procedures, or external
agents that may interfere with the monitor's ability to
detect and display accurate measurements include:
• incorrect application of the O
• placement of the O
with a blood pressure cuff, arterial catheter, or
intravascular line
• excessive patient activity
• intravascular dyes, such as indocyanine green or
methylene blue
• externally applied coloring agents, such as nail
polish, dye, or pigmented cream
