Chapter 2: Setting Up Your Server

Lay the chassis on its right side (facing the front of the server).

Use a straight blade screwdriver to pop the center plastic rivet free from each foot.

Remove the feet (and leave the server on its side).

Remove the diskette, CD, and DVD drives and filler panels from the server by
following the instructions in
on page 54.

Re-orient the Serial/USB port front panel on the front of the server.

Remove any USB or serial cables from the Serial/USB port front panel.
b
Loosen the captive thumbscrew securing the Serial/USB port front panel to the
server, then remove the Serial USB port front panel.
