These keys realtime recall different keyboard modes and switch to different setups at the touch of a button. You may want to
split the keyboard, to play left hand bass or accompaniment chords using a style.

SPLIT
The keyboard is divided into two parts, Upper and lower. In this way you can play bass with your left hand
by simply pressing this button. Each Preset recalls a properly programmed bass sound to play with.
ACCOMP . SPLIT
Enables the chord recognition in the left part of the keyboard. In this way it is possible to play with the styles
playing the chord in the lower part of the keyboard, while the right hand plays the solo parts.
PIANO STYLE
Allows to play the full keyboard using the accompaniment styles. In PIANO STYLE mode, chords are
recognized wherever you play them on the keyboard. The accompaniment will not change playing simple
melodies, but, as soon as you play more than two notes together in a close range, the accompaniment will
change accordingly. This permits the pianist to use the styles section using their usual piano technique.
MANUAL BASS
Professional users may need to play a "bass solo" or a special bass figure in place of the automatic bass
generated by the style section. This mode removes the automatic bass from the style and activates a bass
sound on the left side of the split. In this mode you can change the accompaniment chord voicing by playing
chords on the right side of the split while your left hand plays the bass part in real time.
PRO SPLIT
This innovative feature was custom designed for the Genesys xp. In PRO SPLIT mode, the chords recognition
is divided into two parts: bass and accompaniment. The bass is controlled by the left side of the split, while
the other accompaniment parts are controlled by the chords played on the right side of the split. In this way
it is possibile to play complex voicings. The bass is generated independently of the chord accompaniment
parts. I.e.: Try to play some different chords with the right hand while keeping the same bass note with the
left hand. A good example might be to keep a C bass while the right hand plays the chords C major, F major,
G major, Bb major and F major. This popular and simple progression (typical for pianists/vocalists), could
not be played on an arranger keyboard without the unique PRO SPLIT function.
