It is possible to realtime tranpose a MIDI song using both direct song playing and DB list mode. In this way it is very easy to
chang the key of a song adapting the instrument at your needs.

Select and play a MIDI song from the DB List

Press the TRANSPOSE UP button in the main panel
NOTE
The TRANPOSE is a realtime function once enabled it remains
active until a further edit.
WARNING!
Transpose does not affect audio files such as MP3 or WAV. Using
Genesys xp It is possible only to transpose MIDI files format.
Just press the SCORE or LYRICS button on the panel and the display will show the multimedia contents of the file. For further
details please refer to the SCORE & LYRICS chapter of this manual.

Press the LYRICS button to visualize the lyrics on the display
The Lyrics appear in the display
To use the genesys xp as a stand alone unit

Realtime transpose the MIDI songs using DB list

Visualize the music files multimedia contents

The display shows the semitones the current song

has been transposed to.
Each time you press the UP or DOWN TRANSPOSE buttons
a semitone is added or subctracted.
The global transpose works in a range of +/- 24
semitones.
TRANSPOSE RESET
Press the UP/DOWN TRANSPOSE buttons at the same time

Press SCORE button to visualize the score on the display
BEWARE!
Due to the audio format of the data it is not possible to get
score information from a MP3 music file
Only MIDI file and MP3 can contain multimedia
information
Always ensure that MIDI file you intend to purchase contains
Genesys xp compatible lyrics format (TUNE 1000)
Connecting the Genesys xp to a TV screen the multimedia
contents of the file is present at the VIDEO OUT terminal of
the instrument. In this way the LYRICS or SCORE selection
is also visualized on the TV screen.
