Preheater Lift Solenoid

(8500/8550 only)

1.
Open (do not remove) the Front Door (MPT) assembly (see page 8-4).
2. Remove the Control Panel and cover (see page 8-6).
3. Remove four screws, disconnect two connectors, and remove the Exit Module
(see page 8-40).

Remove the outer and upper duplex guides (see page 8-41). The pre-heater lift
solenoid is now visible on the top of the transfix load module.
5.
Disconnect the three-wire cable that attaches the solenoid to the media-box
motor.
6.
Remove the single screw holding the solenoid to the transfix load module and lift
out.
