Searching for a contact in the Address Book

When you access the IP Phone 1140E Address Book you can perform a
search for a contact using one of the following methods:
Index Search (Performs a search based on the index number you
enter)
1st Character Search (Performs a search based on the first character
you enter)
Name Search (Performs a search based on the name you enter)
To set the method the IP Phone 1140E uses to perform a search, press
the
Prefs
Context-sensitive soft key, select
Search Method
from the menu, and press the
soft key.
6. Do one of the following to complete the
entry:
— Press the
key to designate the contact as a
friend and return to the address
menu screen.
— Press the
key if you do not want a contact
designated as a friend, and return to
the address menu screen.
— Press the
soft key to return to the previous
menu.
7. Press the
Ok
to complete the entry and return to the
previous menu.
