1.5 Part Names and Their Functions
Description
Presses down on the document positioned on the original glass
When manually feeding the document, place it on the glass so
the document can be scanned.
Place the document face down on the glass.
Built into the printer to turn over the paper when printing double-
sided pages
Turns over printed pages, allowing double-sided pages to be
printed automatically
• If a printer controller and the duplex unit are installed onto the
Pi3505e or Pi3505e/PS, the memory must be expanded. If
the optional memory is not installed, double-sided pages
cannot be printed automatically.
Referred to as the "duplex unit" throughout the manual.
Opened when clearing a paper misfeed within the duplex unit
