Pass the media through the printer and secure it in place so that no slack occurs.

Pull out the media, pass its leading edge through between the pinch rollers and the grit rollers, and
feed it through as far as the platen.
Make sure the left edge of the media lies along the guide line.

Hold the media at the center and pull it out, being sure to keep it straight.
Make sure all areas of the media are taut.
