Configuring remote access

Only available for Gigaset SX255isdn and Gigaset SX353isdn.

Double-click Configuration in Folder List.
This displays the dialogues available.
ì
Click Local Answering Machine.
The device list and the corresponding tabs are then displayed.
ì
Open the Remote access tab.
ì
In the device list, click the answering machine you want to configure.
This highlights the row. Below the device list you will see the active and changeable
settings for the selected answering machine.

The settings displayed apply only to the selected answering machine.

In the Settings section you can define the options Remote access:
– In the Internal access section, activate the AM lock option.
The answering machine can be operated from an internal device only after the
answering machine PIN has been entered.
– In the External access section, activate the Remote control on option.
This permits remote operation of the answering machine.
– In the External access section, activate the Remote delete on option.
This permits the remote deleting of messages.

In the Automatic listen in section, activate select the listening in with comfort
handset option. Select the comfort handset to be used.
During recording new messages will also be played over this handset's loudspeaker.

Click Apply.
The new settings will be sent to the base station.
If you want to configure several answering machines, you can select the

device list rows without clicking Apply. Your changes remain unaffected
while switching between devices.
