Managing directories
Changing a handset directory
talk&surf displays the directories of your handsets. These you can edit and
copy.
These directories are only mappings of the directories actually stored in
your handsets. Changes you make to these mappings with talk&surf are
!
not automatically applied to the handset in question.
The directory stored in the handset is only updated when you send
the corresponding mapping in the Handsets section to the handset.
You will find a detailed description in Chapter "Sending a directory to a
handset" on page 117.

Click Directories in Folder list.
This opens the directory manager.
ì
Double-click the directory of the handset in Handsets.
This displays the handset's directory entries.
ì
Click the entry you want to change.
ì
Make the changes to the entries of the open directory:
– In the Name section, click Delete.
The selected entry is removed from the directory. The directory of the same hand-
set in the All section is updated.
or
– In the Name section, click Edit.
This opens the Edit Name dialogue.
– Enter the new name of the selected entry (up to 16 characters) in the Name field.
– Confirm the change with OK.
This updates the entry in the open directory and in the directory of the same
handset in the All section.
In the Handsets section you can only change the name of a directory
entry. For example, you can customize the sorting of the telephone num-

bers for each handset.
You can change the telephone number only in the central directory or
with the corresponding handset.
