Naming the Router

To name your router, follow these steps:
Enter CO to display the Configuration Menu.

Enter SYS to display the Update System Parameters screen.
2.
Enter the login name of the router.
3.
The name of the router is provided by your Internet service provider or system administrator.
Do not use space characters in the name.
If you want to change your password, follow these steps:
Tab to the Old Password field and enter the old password.

The old password is PASSWORD if this is the first time you are connecting to the built-in
basic setup interface.
Tab to the New Password field and enter the new password.

Tab to the Retype Password field and enter the new password again.
c.
Press [Ctrl]+E to apply the changes and return to the Configuration Menu screen.

Enter SAVE to save the changes.

Entering the Network Address

To specify the network address of your router, follow these steps:
Enter CO PA to display the Configure Paths Menu.

Enter EDIT LAN01.

Tab to the IP Addr field and enter the IP address followed by a / character and the

number of network bits in the netmask for the unit.

Press [Ctrl]+E to apply the change.

Enter SAVE to save the changes and return to the Configure Paths Menu.

Note: When you change the IP address of the router while connected through Telnet, you
lose the Telnet session. You must then use Telnet to access the new IP address and log in
again.
