The LFE level can be adjusted between -10 dB and 0 dB
in steps of 1 dB

factory default values

D.COMP. (Dynamic Range Compression):
• This parameter
adjusts
the dynamic
range of the Dolby
Digital
sound
When
listening
with
the volume
turned
relatively low, at night for example, set this to the "HI" side
to lower the peak of the sound and amplify
the quieter
sounds, narrowing the dynamic range and making the sound
easier to listen to. Set to "OFF" to turn this function off

Dolby Digital playback.

software
is played,
it is
recommended
that the LFE LEVEL be set to OdB for correct
DTS playback.
• When
DTS encoded
music
software
is played,
it is
recommended
that the LFE LEVEL be set to -10 dB for
correct DTS playback
NOTES:
• When
"DEFAULT"
is selected
end the
_
cursor button
is
pressed ("YES"),
"D.COMR"
is automatically
set to "OFF" and
"LFE" is reset to the default value.
("D.COMR"
is not valid for DTS source.)
• Signals encoded in Dolby Digital can only be played in the Auto
decode (Dolby Digital, Dolby Pro Logic [i or Auto stereo), Stereo,
Direct or Virtual modes. Other modes do not work when playing
Dolby Digital signals
• DTS signals can only be played in the Auto decode (DTS), Stereo
or Direct modes. Other modes do not work when playing DTS
signals.
• DTS signals can also be played in the "DTS" input mode. (See
page
35.)
In this
case,
decoding
and playback
are only
performed when DTS signals are input.
