configure jumbo frames on each client and each network switch may result in data unavailability
or performance degradation.
Jumbo frames can co-exist with 1500 byte frames on the same subnet if the following conditions
are met:
Every device downstream of the storage system on the subnet must support jumbo frames.
If you are using 802.1q virtual LANs, jumbo frames and nonjumbo frames must be segregated
into separate VLANs.

Changing NIC flow control

Flow control on the NICs prevents data transmission overruns that result in packets being dropped.
With flow-control enabled, network packets that would otherwise be dropped will not have to be
retransmitted. Auto-negotiate is the default setting for NIC flow control. You can change the setting
to manually choose the transmit and receive settings for the NIC.
NOTE:
The VSA does not support changing flow control settings.
Requirements
These settings must be configured before creating NIC bonds.
All NICs should have (or must have, if they are bonded) the same flow control settings. You
can bond NICs with different flow control settings. However, the bond changes both NICs to
the same flow control settings, using the settings of the preferred NIC.
Flow control cannot be changed when the port is disabled.
IMPORTANT:
Set up the end-to-end network before creating storage volumes.
