5.5. Software processing monitoring

Kaspersky Anti-Virus allows creating a list of software processes that will not be
monitored by the anti-virus application.
For example, you consider all objects used by Notepad, a standard Microsoft
Windows application, safe and that such objects do not need to be scanned in
the real-time protection mode. In other words, you trust this application's process.
In order to exclude objects used by this process from the real-time protection
scan scope, add the Notepad application to the list of trusted processes.
In order to create a list of trusted processes,
press the
setting in the Protection settings section of the Files tab (see Figure
16).
This will open an List of exclusions window (see Figure 38). In order to
edit this list of add new processes to it, use buttons to the right of the list.
Using the Add button, you can add the following objects to the list of exclusions:
an executable file. In order to do this, use the Browse button and specify
file with the .exe extension;
running processes. In order to do this, use the Running processes
command and select one of the processes in the drop-down list.
In order to delete the process from the list, specify the process you need and
press the Delete button.
