Application management using the local interface
You can limit the time for scanning one object in the Additional settings of file
protection section by specifying the value of the scan interval in seconds; here
you also can specify whether the following objects will be scanned:
objects attached or built-in into other files (OLE-objects),
packed executable files;
self-extracting archives;
disk boot sectors.
In the Objects scan acceleration you can enable/disable the use of the anti-
virus scan acceleration technologies– iChecker
it, check the corresponding boxes.
If you disabled the iStreams
application, you will have to run the Kaspersky Anti-Virus installer in
order to enable it. Unless you do this, you will not be able to configure
the use of this technology.
5.2.1.2. Actions to be performed with a
detected object
Specify action to be performed by Kaspersky Anti-Virus when a dangerous or a
suspicious object is detected in the Actions to be performed with detected
objects section (see Figure 16):
Prompt user for action – block access to the object and display a
prompt for the action to be performed with the object. This is a default
operation mode.
If the application does not receive your input within 30 second, the
recommended action will be applied to the object. For each type of
objects detected there is its own recommended action.
Provided below is a list of all possible actions offered by Kaspersky Anti-
Virus (sets of actions may vary for each specific object):
Disinfect infected object.
Quarantine the object possibly infected with a virus or its
modification.
