IMPORTANT
THE ENGINE AND THE COMPONENTS
OF THE EXHAUST SYSTEM CAN GET
VERY HOT AND REMAIN SO FOR
SOME TIME EVEN AFTER THE EN-
GINE IS TURNED OFF. WEAR INSU-
LATING GLOVES BEFORE HANDLING
THESE PIECES OR WAIT UNTIL THE
ENGINE AND THE EXHAUST SYSTEM
COOL DOWN.
Stop the engine and let it cool off
so that the oil in the crankcase
flows down and cools as well.
NOTE
FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE OPER-
ATIONS MAY RESULT IN AN INCOR-
RECT READING OF THE ENGINE OIL
LEVEL.
Unscrew and remove the dip-
stick. «1».
Clean the part that has contact
with oil with a clean cloth.
Rest the cap-dipstick «1» in the
hole «2».
Take the dipstick «1» out again,
and check the level of oil indi-
cated on the dipstick:

GANTS ISOLANTS OU ATTENDRE
QUE LE REFROIDISSEMENT DU MO-
TEUR ET DU SYSTÈME D'ÉCHAPPE-
MENT.
Arrêter le moteur et le laisser re-
froidir, pour permettre le draina-
ge de l'huile dans le carter et son
refroidissement.

SI CES INSTRUCTIONS NE SONT PAS
SUIVIES, LE RELEVÉ DU NIVEAU
D'HUILE MOTEUR RISQUE D'ÊTRE
FAUSSÉ.
Dévisser et extraire le bouchon-
jauge de mesure « 1 ».
Nettoyer la partie en contact
avec l'huile à l'aide d'un chiffon
propre.
Visser complètement le bou-
chon-jauge « 1 » dans le trou
d'introduction « 2 ».
