The station Type is used to control features that the station can support. The
existing types are :
– Normal extension :
Used for all normal station devices.
– Voice Manager :
Used for ports connected to a Voice Manager, refer to the appropriate
Voice Manager Installation Manual.
– MF Receiver :
Used to connect systems such as door entry units where the ability to
receive DTMF from an internal extension is required. See also "Cordless
Integration" on page 74.
– Modem port :
Use this setting for stations that require a 3.1KHz audio service when
routed over digital trunks, e.g. analogue modems. This option requires the
line provider to support and provide a 3.1KHz audio service option.
– DECT Phone :
Refer to the INDeX DECT Installation Manual.
– Hot Desk :
See "Hot Desking" on page 97.
To change a station's type :
1. From the Administration menu, select Station and enter the directory
number.
2. Select Type and then select the type required.
The PC Console Port setting is used with WOC installations. Refer to the WOC
Installation Manual.
The INDeX system can be dived into a number of tenancies. Each station and user
belongs to a tenancy and cannot make calls to members of other tenancies. For full
