INDeX 9.1
INDeX Net adds additional features to Integrated Networking by carrying additional
signalling across IP network connections in parallel with the DPNSS or VCC
connections.
Details of the IP connections are set up through each INDeX's INDeX Net table.
INDeX Net features added are :
– BLF and DSS Presentation :
BLF status and DSS key usage across the network (not available to
NOCpro).
– Network Groups :
Groups can include member on other INDeX's on the network. This includes
support for group pickup.
– Network Hot Desking :
Hot desking users can log on at any INDeX in the network.
– Speed Dial/Call Control Plans (NA INDeX 30):
Changes to Speed dials and Call Control Plans can be broadcast to other
INDeX's on the network.
Requirements for INDeX Net :
– INDeX Level 9.0+ on INDEX.
– DPNSS or VCC connections with parallel IP network connection.
– The DPNSS must be software 2.0+ (DPNSS cassette PCS8+).
– Permanent IP connections are required for full feature support. If dial-up IP
connections are used only network hot desking is supported.
– Adherence to the INDeX Network Planning Rules.
– INDeX Net is currently limited to a 32 node network with network group limited
to 8 nodes within the network.
