The Display Screen
The display screen gives you information while you use the
machine. The top line displayed is the status line. In the status
line you have such information as the cursor (underscore char-
acter) position, the program number being used, and the record
address.

If you are at the index track, the data set label is displayed.
The data set label identifies the associated data set. (A data
set is a batch of information entered on the disk such as a pay-
roll job.)
If you are beyond the index track, the machine displays the
data you have keyed or are keying.

The display screen brightness control is located below the table
top, under the display screen. Turn this knob to adjust the
display screen brightness.

ditional aid to you while keying.
