Notes About the Print Head
Observe the following pointers in using the 3715 printer:
CAUTIONS
1. When the machine is not in use, ensure that the print head
is set at the extreme left position where it is retracted and
the ribbon lifter holds the ribbon away from the print wires.
If the print head is left anywhere except at the extreme left
position, oil will bleed from the print wires onto the ribbon
and cause poor quality printing.
2. Ensure that the print head does not print off the edge of
the paper form. Damage may occur to the print wires if
they catch on the right edge of the paper, when the print
head returns.
Note:
If necessary to move the print head, apply light finger
pressure to either the right or left side of the print mechanism.
