If the recommended XPS gearcase oil is not
available, use a 75W140 gear oil that meets the
API GL-5 specification. The gearcase of this

snowmobile has been developed and validated
using the XPS™ Synthetic gearcase oil. BRP
strongly recommends the use of its XPS Synthetic
chaincase oil at all times. Damages caused by oil
which is not suitable for the chaincase will not be
covered by the BRP limited warranty.
Verifying the Chaincase Oil Level
With the vehicle on a level surface, check the oil
level by removing the check plug.
