Operating Age and Ability
Operators must be qualified. Make sure the operator
is 16 or older. Your state (or province) may have
additional requirements. Laws regarding the minimum
age and licensing requirements vary from one juris-
diction to another. Be sure to contact the local
authorities for information regarding the legal opera-
tion of a snowmobile in the intended jurisdiction of
use. BRP highly recommends that you take a safety
riding course. Basic training is required for the safe
operation of any snowmobile.

Operation of this snowmobile with a disability that
impairs vision, reaction time, judgment, or operation
of the controls is not recommended. The safe use of
your snowmobile depends on many conditions such
as visibility, speed, weather, environment, traffic,
vehicle condition and the condition of the operator.
The performance of some snowmobiles may signifi-
cantly exceed that of other snowmobiles you have
operated. Therefore, use by novice or inexperienced
operators is not recommended.
Each passenger must be able to simultaneously
place both feet firmly flat against each footboard
when properly seated.
