To install
the Messenger
2 12 Plus using a CO
circuit
as the interface
connect
as described
below.
(see figure
3)
1. Connect
the 300 ohm resistor
ln series
with
the - (negattve)
lead of the 24 volt
DC power
supply
and the CO tip on the
'P" connector.
Depending
on the application
the following
program
codes will need to be updated.
a
Universal
Call Distribution
(FLASH 19) It
is necessary
to specify which
RAN table(s)
will be used for each UCD group assigned.
This is done by pressing
button
12 while
in UCD programming.
2. Next connect
the second 300 ohm resfs-
tor in series to the + (positive) lead of the
power supply
and the 8 position
modular
connector
pin 5 mp / green).

Then
wire the ring lead from
the 'Y
connector
of the CO port being used to
pin
4
of the 8 pin modular
jack (Ring /
red).
4.
Connect
both
of the LBC contact
leads
of the Power
Fail Transfer
unit
to the
START and GROUND
leads of the 8 pin
modular
jack (pins 7 and 8).
Connection
of the Messenger
212 Plus to the
system
Ls now complete.
Proceed wltb apply-
ing power
and recording
your message(s)
as
described
in the Messenger
2 12 Plus Owners
manual.
Programming
It will be necessary
to update
the data base of
the 4096
system
to include
the RAN
opuons.
