Chapter 3:
Customizing the
This section explains how to customize the unit's display so that it works best based
on your individual needs.
You can change the following settings:
Present Position Display: Place the present position mark and the cross (+) cursor
in the center of the screen or move it elsewhere. Default setting is "Fix."
Present Position Mark: Use the arrow mark ( O) ) or the cross (+) cursor to display
the present position. Default setting is "Arrow."
Scale Display: Display map scale. Default setting is "Off."
Selected Route: Display routes to your destination during Navigation. Default
setting is "On."
Track Display: Display the last 100 points from the course travelled even if a track
is not recorded. Default setting is "On."
LAT/LON (latitude and longitude) Display: Display latitude and longitude data of
present position. Default setting is "On."
LAT/LON (latitude and longitude) Grid Display: Display latitude and longitude
grid. You can set this option only when a map card is used. The grid is always
displayed when a map card is not used or your current position is out of the map's
display range. Default setting is "On."
Map Display: Display maps. You can set this option only when a map card Is used.
Default setting is "On."
Arrival Time: Select Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) or Estimated Time Enroute
(ETE). Because the unit caiculates both times using a linear distance. the calculated
time may be different from the actual time. Default setting is "ETE."
Card Point Display: Display point icons of the points stored onto the cards in the
grid display. Default setting is "Off."
Course Deviation: Place North. Heading, or Course on top of radar screen. Default
setting is "Course."
XTE (Cross Track Error): Display cross track error (course deviation indicator).
Default setting is "On."
