Displaying the Satellite Status
You can check the status of the satellites at any time in MENU mode. The unit
automatically selects the best three or four satellites (depending on availability) to
use to determine your position. By displaying the satellite status, you can determine
which satellites the unit is using to calculate position, the number of satellites being
used to calculate the position, and which satellites are in view. You can also check
the DOP value.
To display the satellite status:
1 Press the MENU key to enter MENU mode.

2 Choose SATELLITE STATUS

To cancel the satellite status display, press the F1 key (QUIT).
Symbols ;
The symbols for each satellite have the following meaning:
Symbol Meaning
%®& INUSE The unit is using this satellite to calculate the position.
"+ STAND-BY been iS receiving this satellite but not using it to calculate the
') SEARCHING | The unit is searching for these satellites.
