Step 3A: Select the language
Fallow the procedure below to sete
correct language:
1 Press the POWER button to turn off the
unit, then press the POWER button again
to turn on the unit.
2 Press the MENU key.
3 Press the | key seven times.
4 Press the ENTER key.
5 Press the ENTER key again.
6 Choose the language you want to use
using the 7 key.
7 Press the F2 key.
8 Press the F1 or RECALL key.
When you are using the unit for the first time, a list of
languages appears. The default setting is "English."
From the list of languages, choose the language you
want to use with the T | key. then press the ENTER
key.
Step 3B: Specify your approximate position
The default setting is Kansas City (latitude 40
degrees North and longitude 95 degrees West).

Step 3C: Select the time difference
GPS employs UTC time. To set the time display to local time, you have to set the
time difference between local time and UTC time. The default setting is "0:00." The
time difference chart is provided on page 83, including names of cities.
To set the time difference, adjust the time difference

You can set the time difference in 15 minute intervals.
When your local time uses Daylight Saving Time,
press the F1 key (DST) before pressing the ENTER
key.
