8 - Saving and recalling setting data

Snapshot functions

Snapshots of unit mixer settings can be named and saved for
recall at any time.
In addition to recalling them from the Snapshot List Screen, they
can also be recall using USER KEYS, FOOTSWITCH and GPIO-IN
controls.
The following data is included in snapshots.
Input and output settings
o Routing settings (INPUT/OUTPUT)
o Internal oscillator input on/off
o Analog gain
o Pad on/off
o Phantom power on/off
o Phase button settings
o Digital trim value settings
o Direct out signal settings (on/off, trim, routing)
o Insert input/output settings (on/off, point, routing)
o Bus assignment settings (MIX bus, MAIN bus)
o Analog gain, pad on/off and phantom power on/off for
mounted SB-16D units
Signal processing settings
o HPF parameters
o EQ parameters
o GEQ parameters
o Dynamics parameters
o Digital delay (delay time, on/off, point)
o Effect parameters
o Bus send settings (level, pre/post, pan/balance)
o Pan/balance settings, image, mode
o Fader/mute settings
Other module settings
o DCA/MUTE group settings
o Stereo link settings
o Bus mode settings (AUX/GROUP)
o Metering point settings
o Module name, color and icon settings
Other settings
o Internal oscillator settings (on/off, assignment, level, type,
frequency)
o Talkback settings (phantom power on/off, digital trim value)
o Layer settings (layer key assignments, custom layer
assignments, custom layer names for apps)
o Brightness settings for the various displays
This setting data is saved.
Moreover, when recalling snapshots, specified parameters
can be protected so that they are not changed. (For example,
routings can be kept the same when recalling snapshots.)

Settings of output connectors with the following signals
assigned will not be changed by snapshot recalls.
i SOLO DIRECT OUT L/R (See "3 OUTPUT button" on page
74.)
i TB to EXT 1/2 (See "r EXT 1 OUT / EXT 2 OUT buttons" on
page 68.)
i MONITOR 1 DIRECT OUT L/R (See "4 Direct OUT PORT
button (MONITOR 1)" on page 72.)
i MONITOR 2 DIRECT OUT L/R (See "7 Direct OUT PORT
button (MONITOR 2)" on page 72.)
i MONITOR 2 OUT L/R (See "8 OUTPUT PORT button
(MONITOR 2)" on page 73.)
For this reason, the following output routings might not be
changed after snapshot recalls.
i MIX 1–22
i MAIN L/R
i CH1–40 Direct OUT
i Insert Send
Example of MAIN L/R routing being affected
When the routing setting is
"MON 2 OUT L/R to ANALOG OUT 15/16"
and a snapshot is recalled with routing set to
"MAIN L/R OUT to ANALOG OUT 15/16"

The "MAIN L/R OUT to ANALOG OUT 15/16" setting
will not be recalled. Instead,
the "MON 2 OUT L/R to ANALOG OUT 15/16" setting
will be retained.
Using snapshot functions at the top of
the Menu Screen
Snapshot functions can be conducted using the snapshot
function area on the Menu Screen and from the Snapshot List
Screen.
In this explanation, areas where snapshot data are saved are
called "slots" or "data slots".
1 Snapshot number
o This shows the number of the snapshot active for storing
and recalling. This will blink if it is not the same as the
current snapshot (most recently stored/recalled snapshot).
o Tap this area to open the Snapshot List Screen. (See
"Snapshot List Screen" on page 190.)
2 Snapshot name area
o This shows the name of the snapshot active for storing
and recalling. This will blink if it is not the same as the
current snapshot (most recently stored/recalled snapshot).
