2-24 PERIODIC MAINTENANCE

CHASSIS NUTS AND BOLTS

Tighten initially at 1 month and every 3 months there-
after.
Check that all chassis nuts and bolts are tightened to their specified torque. (Refer to page 2-25 for the loca-
tions of the following nuts and bolts.)
1 Handlebar clamp bolt
2 Front suspension arm pivot nut
3 Tie-rod end nut
4 Tie-rod locknut
5 Steering knuckle nut
6 Front brake cam lever nut
7 Steering shaft lower nut
8 Steering shaft holder bolt
9 Front brake cable equalizer bolt
0 Front shock absorber bolt (upper and lower)
A Front hub nut
B Wheel set nut (front and rear)
C Swingarm pivot nut
D Rear shock absorber bolt (upper)
E Rear shock absorber bolt (lower)
F Rear hub nut
G Rear brake cam lever nut
H Rear axle housing bolt
I Rear sprocket bolt
J Footrest bolt
K Rear axle nut
