Transceiver Installation; Transceiver information
Purpose
If you click one of the frequency channels in the channel list, additional information
about the relevant transceiver is provided.
The purpose of the transceiver information field is to provide you with an overview of
the technical parameters of the chosen frequency channel.
You may also choose to change the IP address on the transceiver, and download software
to upgrade it. Software updates are only available if and when distributed with the
EK15 operational software.
Note that information provided here is not required for operational use.

Change IP address
The EK15 transceivers are provided by Simrad readily set up with a fixed Ethernet
address and an IP address. If your EK15 uses two ore more transceivers, these
must use different Ethernet addresses. If you buy a complete EK15 system with
a computer and the required number of transceivers, everything will be readily
set up. If you provide your own computer, or add new transceivers to an existing
installation, you must manually change the IP addresses on your new transceiver(s).

Download Transceiver Software
It is possible to update the software in the EK15 single beam transceiver.
This update is only necessary if new functionality in the EK15 software requires
a newer software version. The software release note provided will then include
the necessary instructions. Transceiver software update can also be useful if you
have an old unit.
The button opens a dedicated dialog to verify that you really wish to upgrade the
transceiver.
