3. RESTRICTIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
REGARDING THE USE OF THE PRODUCT
AND VEHICLE SEAT
WARNING! Follow the restrictions and re-
quirements for use of this product and the
vehicle car seat at all times: safety will not be
guaranteed otherwise.
This child car seat can be installed so that it
faces opposite of the car driving direction.
The car seat can be installed in the rear facing
position when the height of the child falls in
the 45 cm to 105 cm range. The car seat can
be installed facing forward once the child is at
least 76 cm tall.
IMPORTANT! Do not use forward facing be-
fore the child's age exceeds 15 months. Chicco
recommends using the rear facing position for
as long as possible.
WARNING! Deactivate the passenger airbag
when the child is in the front seat in the rear
facing direction.
WARNING! If it is used in a vehicle equipped
with rear safety harnesses with integrated
airbags (inflatable seat belts), the interplay
between the inflatable portion of the seat belt
and this child restraint system could cause se-
rious injury or death. During installation with
the Isofix system, the safety harness may not
be fastened behind the child car seat, as this
would engage the inflatable portion of the
safety harness.
The car seat can be used on all i-Size approved
vehicle seats (check the vehicle's instruction
manual) and on seats of vehicles included in
the "Vehicle compatibility list" given with the
car seat.
In any event the vehicle seat must be forward
facing. Never use this car seat on vehicle seats
facing the sides or opposite to the direction of
the driver's seat (Fig. 1)
4. INSTALLING THE CHILD CAR SEAT
The child car seat is in the rear facing position
when packed.
Extract the support leg (Q) from its compart-
ment (Fig. 2).
Fully extract the Isofix connectors by pulling
up on the lower extremity of the extraction
ribbon (N) (Fig. 3).
To easily fasten the Isofix connector use the
special guides provided, attaching them to
the car's Isofix hooks (Fig. 4).
Fasten both Isofix connectors (M) to the cor-
responding Isofix hooks found on the vehicle
seat, between the backrest and the seat (Fig.
5). To lock, push on the connectors them-
selves. When the connectors fit into place you
will hear a "click", and the indicators (S) will turn
green. Push the child car seat firmly against
the backrest of the car (Fig. 6).
WARNING! Pull the child car seat towards
you to make sure that the child car seat has
been installed correctly on both sides. Also
check that the child car seat is resting perfectly
against the backrest of the car.
The installation of the car seat can ONLY be
considered complete after the installation of
the support leg (Q).
Position the support leg (Q) and use the ad-
justment buttons (R) to make the final adjust-
ments (Fig. 7). When the support leg is prop-
erly installed the indicator (S) will turn green
(Fig. 8).
WARNING! Be sure that the support leg is
in contact with the floor of the vehicle at all
times.
5. USING THE CHILD CAR SEAT IN THE
REAR FACING POSITION (from 45 cm
to 105 cm) AND POSITIONING YOUR
CHILD
WARNING! The only allowed positions when
the vehicle is travelling are forward facing or
rear facing (Fig. 9).
WARNING! The child car seat must be in-
stalled in the rear facing position until the child
is older than 15 months.
WARNING! In order to use the car seat in the
rear facing position, be sure that the seat is as
reclined as possible.
