Ping

Use the P
between the Express 5210 and another unit by sending ping
requests to a specific IP address.

Sets the version of RIP being used on this interface.
The options are V1 and V2.
Defines the method used to send RIP route advertise-
ments. The options are listed below:
N : All routes in the router table are advertised
ONE
through this interface with no modification on the rout-
ing metric.
S H : Only advertises routes not learned
PLIT ORIZON
through the interface.
P R : All routes are advertised, but the
OISON EVERSE
routes learned through this interface are "poisoned"
with an infinite route metric.
Defines when RIP advertisements are transmitted. The
options are listed below:
P : RIP advertisements are periodically trans-
ERIODIC
mitted.
T
: RIP advertisements are transmitted only
RIGGERED
when new routes are learned, and learned routes do
not age.
When enabled, the unit requires all received RIP V2
packets to be authenticated against the configured V2
