You can configure or view the following settings for the FortiGuard-Antispam Service
service:
Enable Service Select to enable the FortiGuard-Antispam Service.
Status
Select Check Status to test the connection to the FortiGuard-Antispam
Service server. Status should change from a flashing red/yellow indicator to
a solid green indicator when the server is contacted successfully.
License Type
The FortiGuard-Antispam Service license type.
Expiration
The date the FortiGuard-Antispam Service license expires.
Enable Cache
Select to enable caching the FortiGuard-Antispam Service IP address and
URL block lists. Enabling the cache can improve performance because the
FortiGate unit does not need to access the server each time the same IP
address or URL appears as the source of an email. The cache is configured
to use 6% of the of the FortiGate RAM. When the cache is full, the least
recently used IP address or URL is deleted.
The cache is enabled by default.
TTL
Time to live. The number of seconds to store blocked IP addresses and
URLs in the cache before contacting the server again.

Go to Spam Filter > FortiGuard-Antispam Service.

Select Check status to make sure the FortiGate unit can access the FortiGuard-
Antispam Service server.
After a moment, the FortiGuard-Antispam Service status should change from
Unknown to Available. If the FortiGuard-Antispam Service status is unavailable, wait
and try again.

If required, enable and set a TTL (time to live) for the cache.

Select Apply.
You can now enable FortiGuard-Antispam Service for any firewall protection profile
you create. See
"Configuring spam filtering options" on page
Once you select Apply, the FortiGuard-Antispam Service license type and expiration
date appears on the configuration screen (Spam Filter > FortiGuard-Antispam
Service).
