5-yearly maintenance of fuel cell module
Draining the distilled water
Note
This is required for the following maintenance work.
The fuel cell module must be in maintenance mode.
To save time, the system user can activate mainte-
nance mode in advance.
It takes about 15 min to drain the distilled water
(approx. 4.5 l).
Note
Before carrying out the maintenance work:
■ The fuel cell module must be in maintenance mode.
Switch ON maintenance mode: See chapter "Switch-
ing on maintenance mode".
To save time, the system user can activate mainte-
nance mode in advance.
■ The distilled water must have been drained.
■ The lower front panel must be removed: See chapter
"Removing the front panels".

It takes about 15 min to drain the distilled water
(approx. 4.5 l).

02. Close the gas shut-off valve.
Replacing the distilled water cartridge, air filter, air filter B and CO sensor
Replace the distilled water cartridge, air filter, air fil-
ter B and CO sensor every 5 years.
03. Check that the fuel cell module is in maintenance
mode: "MNT" indicator should be illuminated.
If not, switch on maintenance mode: See chapter
"Switching on maintenance mode".
Note
The cooling process on the fuel cell module lasts
approximately 90 min. The cooling process is
complete when "P0" appears under ITEM 30 in
STATE.

05. Press and hold SET for at least 3 s.
In STATE, "01" and "02" appear in succession.
Note
The change from "01" to "02" takes approx.
2 min.
The water can be drained when "02" flashes.
06. Place a shallow container of sufficient size (min.
5 l) below drain port
07. Undo the screw and remove right-hand cover
for ventilation.
08. Undo the screw in drain port

09. Press SET.

The display changes from "02" to "03" in STATE.
10. When no more water runs out and "04" is flashing
in STATE, close apertures
11. Press SET.
