To playback tracks at random, briefly
press the following button ("RDM" button)
while a track is playing.
Left-hand drive
models
Right-hand drive
models
Each time you briefly press the button, the
mode changes in the following se-
quences.
NOTE
. The "RDM" indication refers to the
random playback of the tracks. It
randomly repeats the tracks on the
CD. It is possible to select the function
when formats other than the MP3/WMA/
AAC format CD is playing.
. The "F-RDM" indication refers to the
random playback in the folder. It ran-
domly repeats all of the tracks in the
folder. It is possible to select the
function when an MP3/WMA/AAC for-
mat track is playing.
To cancel the random playback mode,
briefly press the "RDM" button and select
CANCEL. The "RDM" indicator will turn
off, and the normal playback mode will be
resumed.
NOTE
Random playback will be cancelled if
you perform any of the following steps.
. Briefly press the "RDM" button and
select CANCEL.
. Press the "RPT" button.
. Press the " " or " " side of the
"FOLDER" button (only when an MP3/
WMA/AAC format track is playing).
. Press the
button.
. Press the "SCAN" button.

"SCAN" button
The scan mode lets you listen to the first
10 seconds of each track in succession.
Audio/CD player operation
Press the "SCAN" button to start scanning
upward beginning with the track following
the currently selected one.
After all tracks on the disc/in the folder
have been scanned, normal playback will
be resumed. To cancel the scan mode,
press the "SCAN" button again.
NOTE
. The scan mode will be cancelled if
you perform any of the following steps.
– Press the "RPT" button.
– Press the "RDM" button.
– Turn the "TUNE/TRACK" dial.
– Press the " " or "
"FOLDER" button (only when an
MP3/WMA/AAC track is playing).
– Press the " " or "
the "TRACK/SEEK" button.
– Press the "SCAN" button.
– Select the radio or AUX mode.
– Turn off the power of the audio
equipment.
– Turn the ignition switch to the
"LOCK"/"OFF" position.
. When the "SCAN" button is pressed
while the MP3, WMA or AAC format
data is played back, the system scans
within the current folder.
. When the "SCAN" button is pressed
while data (except for the MP3, WMA or
