Chapter 1: Introducing the IBM 5500 Express IP Control
Unit
The 5500 Express IP Control Unit allows you to connect network stations or
personal computers equipped with an IBM Express Twinax adapter to a
remote AS/400 system. The unit establishes these connections using
Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) available in
Windows 95, 98 and NT workstations and servers. The 5500 Express IP
Control Unit manages traffic between the clients and the AS/400.
