Chapter 5: Troubleshooting
Explanation and Action
The adapter self-diagnostic tests failed or
there is a problem with the adapter.
Call your service representative.
This adapter is closed due to an undetected
error. One of the following conditions exists:
The adapter open failed
The adapter detected a wire fault.
The adapter failed the auto-removal test.
Follow these procedures:
• Verify that the adapter is configured
correctly.
• If other stations on the network are having
problems communicating, contact your
network administrator
The adapter has detected a beaconing or a
hard error. If other stations on the network are
having problems communicating, contact your
network administrator
The adapter has failed before running the self-
diagnostic tests.
Action: Call your service representative.
