● When installing the control panel, ensure an ergonomic operation. Addi‐
tionally, ensure that all moving machine components can be seen by the
operator at any time
● Avoid installation locations exposed to direct sunlight, as additional heat
development can occur.
● When installing the control panel, ensure an easy access to the front
panel (top side).
● Ensure that the LED displays are visible on the front panel
● Provide a sufficient minimum clearance of 50 mm for cooling and cable
routing behind the device
● Lay all connecting cables in loops and use strain reliefs for all cables
● Keep as much distance as possible to noise sources
To mount the control panel, proceed as described in the following:
1. Create a mounting cut-out with 6 drilled holes and a cross-section of 4.5
mm as described in
26 and fig. 6-10 "Mounting dimensions VAM 40.2" on page
2. Insert the control panel from the front into the cut-out. Then, insert the
mounting bolts M4 into the drilled holes.
3. Fasten the control panel by screwing the nuts on the rear side of the
mounting bolts.
