Funcionamiento del Sistemas
Crankshaft angle sensor
Function
Communicate to the ECU how fast this turning the crankshaft per minute
and help the ECU to deliver precise quantities of fuel and spark advance
for ignition.
Functioning
As the rotor rotates square notches in the periphery of the rotor cause
voltage pulses on the sensor. These pulses are sent to the ECU. The ECU
counts the number of pulses per second and interprets few RPM is
rotating the engine and accordingly the amount precise fuel delivery and
spark advance for ignition iscontrolled.
These notches 23 square / square blocks on the outer periphery of the
rotor areequidistant from each other.
In a particular location there is a greater spacing between the square
grooves /square blocks. This can also be interpreted as a notch missing.
This missing notch area represents the position before top dead center
(TDC). Inthis position before TDC pulse voltage is sensed by the sensor
and crank angle is
communicated to the ECU.
The ECU uses this information to control the ignition advance
