On/Off Pushbutton
Turns the MTM800 on and off. (See page 10.)
LED Indicators
Indicate the service state.(See page 10.)
Navigation Keys
Press to move up or down through options and lists,
such as message or phone address book lists.
Display Arrows
When relevant, point to keys located below the
alphanumeric display, indicating the present mode.

Alphanumeric Display
Backlit view of two lines of characters or digits (up to 14
characters or digits per line).
Display Icons
Show additional information and MTM800 status. (See
page 8.)
Alphanumeric Keypad
Enter numbers and alphabetic characters. (See
page 14.) The function of these keys is programmable
by the Service Provider. (See page 17.)
Menu Key
Press to bring up menu options. Use navigation keys to
scroll. (See page 13.)
Select Key
Press to select the displayed option or to confirm an
entry.
Cancel Key
Press to cancel/clear/exit the current activity or entry.
Emergency Key
Initiates Emergency mode and sends Emergency
Alarms. (See page 14.)
Backlight Key
Dims and intensifies the radio's backlight (four intensity
options). (See page 25.)
External Alarm Key
Used to activate and deactivate the External Alarm
(Horn & Lights). (See page 25.)
