8. Detach the electrode lead from the underside of
the electrode tab.
9. Detach the thermocouple by unscrewing the
thermocouple nut at the gas valve.
10. Remove the two screws from the pilot bracket.
11. Remove the pilot bracket and pilot assembly.
12. Refit in the reverse order.
Note: The pilot unit is an atmosphere sensing
device. It must be replaced as a whole assembly. Its individual components are
not separately replaceable.
19.10 To remove the Teddington gas valve, LED On/Off
Switch or ignition unit - FS only.
1. Remove the burner assembly (See section 19.1 - 19.6).
2. Turn the burner tray upside down, ensure that the work
surface is suitably protected. This will avoid damage to the
work surface and support the burner tubes.
3. Remove the thermocouple by unscrewing the
thermocouple nut at the end of the valve.
4.The ignition spark generator has 3 wire connections the top
single wire comes from the pilot and the bottom side by side
wires comes from the valve switch. All 3 wires should be carefully pull out straightly
and disconnected.
5.The On/Off switch has 2 wire connections both should be carefully pull out straightly
and disconnected.
6. Detach the pilot/inlet & burner pipes from the gas valve.
7. Turn the burner assembly back over and unscrew the 4 screws holding the slider
assembly onto the bottom tray. This will release the slider assy from the burner assy.
8. The valve is connected to the slider assembly by a screw in the connecting steel
rod, remove this screw to disconnect from the slider arm.
9. Remove the two screws that retain the gas valve and top bracket from the base of
the burner tray and lift the bracket and gas valve assembly clear.
10. Remove either the Gas Valve, Switch or Ignition unit as required.
11. Refit in the reverse order.
19.11 To remove the TESC gas valve, LED On/Off Switch
or Manifold - RC only.
1. Remove the burner assembly (See section 19.1 - 19.6).
2. Turn the burner tray upside down, ensure that the work
surface is suitably protected. This will avoid damage to the
work surface and support the burner tubes.
3. Remove the thermocouple connections by carefully pulling
out straightly and disconnecting the three wires at the rear of
the gas valve.
4. Detach the pilot/inlet & burner pipes from the gas valve.
5. Unscrew the 2 screws holding the gas valve in place to release it.
