Addresses for SCSI devices

The SCSI IDs for the 5¼-inch mounting locations are set on the drive. For the
5¼-inch drives, the SCSI IDs 4 through 6 are recommended.

All the necessary SCSI terminations are already installed on the server. No
terminations may be plugged into the drives.
The SCSI IDs for the hard disk drives are not set on the drive itself, but rather
are determined by the slot on the SCSI backplane.
The slots of the hard disk drives lead to up to two SCSI backplanes with six hard
disk drive mounting locations each. In the basic version, one SCSI channel is
connected with one SCSI backplane; however, each of the controller's SCSI
channels can be connected to one SCSI backplane (2-channel version).
