Converting a rack model into a floorstand model
To convert the server, you will require a Torx-TX20 screwdriver.
Ê Shut down the operating system, switch off the server, and disconnect it
from the main power supply.

CAUTION!
The power switch does not disconnect the device from the line
voltage. To disconnect the line voltage completely, remove the power
plug from the grounded power outlet.
Ê Remove the server from the rack (see section "Installing the rack model" on
page 26).
Ê Remove the slot cover (see chapter "Opening and closing the server" on
page 47).
Ê Remove the front panel (see section "Removing/mounting the front panel"
on page 98).
Ê Remove the cage for the accessible drives (CD) (see section "Accessible
drives" on page 75).
Ê Carefully pull out 1/3 of the cage for the hard disk drives from the cage
guides (see also section "Converting 1 to 2-channel version (1.6-inch HD
subsystem)" on page 101).
Ê Disconnect the data cable for the LCD control panel from the power
backplane (connector X6, accessible between the separator wall and the
PCI slot cover; see figure 60 on page 115).
