Upgrading external SCSI interface

If the internal hard disk drives should be connected to a disk array controller, the
connections to the onboard Ultra3 SCSI controller (SCSI A and SCSI B) must
be changed to the disk array/SCSI controller (see also documentation of the
disk array controller).
In this case, one of the channels of the onboard Ultra3 SCSI controller can be
used for external hard disk drives by upgrading the system with an external
SCSI interface connector.
The second SCSI channel of the onboard Ultra3 SCSI controller remains
available for the accessible 5¼-inch drives.
The external SCSI interface connector is mounted on back of the server:

voltage. To disconnect the line voltage completely, remove the power
plug from the grounded power outlet.
