1. Choose PC437-PC850 Code Page Selection from Maintenance Mode
(level 1) as described above. The Operate and lower tray lights flash.
2. Press the Reset button to toggle between PC-437 and PC-850:
Black Ink Out light on: PC437
Cyan Ink Out light on: PC850
3. Press the Eject button or turn the printer off to save the setting. If you
press the Eject button, the setting is saved, and the printer exits
maintenance mode and is ready to use. If you turn the printer off, the
setting is saved, and the printer exits maintenance mode and shuts off.
MAINTENANCE MODE (LEVEL 2)/EEPROM RESET
Use this mode to reset the EEPROM.
1. To enter Maintenance Mode (level 2), press the Cleaning button, then
the Reset button while the printer is on and in Maintenance Mode
(level 1). The Operate and manual tray lights flash, and both tray lights
come on.
2. Press the Reset button until the Black Ink Out light comes on.
3. Press the Eject button to select the Reset EEPROM procedure. This is
the only procedure available in Maintenance Mode 2. Pressing the
Eject button resets the waste ink counter, the total power off time
(timer IC), and the cleaning counter. The interface setting returns to
Automatic.
4. Exit this mode by turning the printer off.

PRINTHEAD ALIGNMENT MODE

This adjusts both bi-directional printing and the printhead gap.
Note: This printer does not support bi-directional printing using MicroDot
and Super MicroDot. These patterns are included in case specifications
change in the future.
1. While the printer is off, press the Reset, Eject, and Operate buttons to
enter this mode. Four patterns are printed using the current adjustment
values:

Normal dot pattern

Bi-D pattern using MicroDot

Bi-D pattern using Super MicroDot
Printhead gap pattern

2. Select the pattern you want to adjust by pressing the Reset button to
select the pattern number:
Black Ink Out light:
Cyan Ink Out light:
Magenta Ink Out light:
Yellow Ink Out light:
3. Press the Eject button to print the selected pattern using 7 different
gap settings.
