11. Pull the curler lever in the direction of the yellow arrow in Figure
4-151, then release it. Make sure the spring returns the lever to its
original position. If it doesn't, disassemble and assemble the curler
again.

12. Apply some screw lock compound (lock-tite) to the metal curler frame
around the tip of the screw (CPS, 3×15).
13. Again, pull the curler lever in the direction of the yellow arrow in Figure
4-151, then release it. Make sure the spring returns the lever to its
original position. If it doesn't, loosen the screw (CPS, 3×15) slightly
until the lever works properly, then reapply the lock-tite as in step 12.
14. Repeat steps 1-13 for all 5 curlers.
15. Look through the hole in the curler lever plate, and turn gear (10) or
gear (24) until the hole in gear (24) aligns with the hole in the curler
lever plate. These holes should also now be aligned with the hole in the
metal curler plate.
16. Insert a positioning pin through all three holes. (See Figure 4-152.)

17. Repeat steps 14 and 15 for all 5 curlers.
18. Install the curlers on the ASF frame as shown in Figure 4-153. Secure
each curler with 1 screw (CBP, 3×8).
