15. Disconnect and remove the tension spring (0.588) connected to the
hopper lever. (See Figure 4-79.)

16. Disconnect and remove the torsion spring (25.5) connected to the
hopper lever lock. (See Figure 4-79.)
17. Slide the hopper release lever to the right, then remove the hopper
lever lock. Press the hopper release lever in the direction of the yellow
arrow in Figure 4-79; this allows easy removal.
18. Remove 2 screws (CBS, 3×6) securing the ASF gear train cover, then
remove the cover (see Figure 4-79). Washers may fall out; take care to
set them aside.


REMINDER
Before attaching the ASF gear train cover during
assembly, make sure the ASF planetary lever is in
the up position. (See Figure 4-80.)
