2. At the DOS prompt, type the following (if you've inserted the service
program diskette in a drive other than A, substitute that letter):
A:\mode lpt1: retry=p
3. Type the following to launch the service program (if you've inserted the
service program diskette in a drive other than A, substitute that letter):
A:\spro5000.exe
The following screen appears:

IMPORTANT
The service program may hang at this point
for one of the following reasons:
 The printer is not turned on.
You failed to make the entry in step 2.

If the program hangs, go back to step 1.
4. If the correct printer name is displayed, select Yes and press Enter. (If
the correct printer name does not appear, reenter the printer ID.) The
following screen appears.
