3. Select Head Height Adjustment (Check pattern printing) and press
Enter. The following screen appears.

4. Press Enter to begin printing the test pattern. When the pattern has
been printed, press the Eject button on the control panel to eject the
test page. A pattern similar to the following is printed.

The printer uses the black nozzle on the left printhead and the magenta
nozzle on the right printhead to print this pattern. The printhead height
adjustment changes the position of the right printhead relative to the
position of the left printhead.
5. Look at the following examples of test patterns to see whether you
need to adjust the printhead height. (If the printhead height is correct,
the black and magenta lines in the test pattern will be aligned.)
