Image Reading Section: Foggy background or rough image

Step
1 Original Glass is dirty.
2 Scanner mirrors are dirty.
3 Exposure Lamp (LA2) is dirty.
4 CCD Unit lens and CCD surface are dirty.
<Check Procedure>
Remove lens cover to check for possible contami-
nation.
5 Exposure Lamp is abnormally lit (flickers or abnor-
mally dark) when the Start key is pressed.
6 Inverter Board (copier: PU2) connector is loose.
7 CCD Board (copier: PWB-J) connector is loose.
