CHAIN BUFFER
Inspect the chain buffer for damage. If any damages are found,
replace the chain buffer with a new one.
SWINGARM PIVOT SHAFT
Measure the pivot shaft runout using the dial gauge. If the
runout exceeds the service limit, replace the pivot shaft.
$ Swingarm pivot shaft runout
Service limit: 0.6 mm
" 09900-20606: Dial gauge
09900-20701: Magnetic stand
09900-21304: V-block
SWINGARM PIVOT BUSHING
Insert the collars into the swingarm bushings, move the collar up
and down and check for any play. If there is excessive play,
replace the bushings with new ones.
SWINGARM PIVOT BUSHING REPLACEMENT
• Remove the swingarm bushings by using the special tools.
" 09923-74510: Bearing remover
09930-30102: Sliding shaft
• Press the swingarm bushings into the swingarm pivot by
using the special tool and suitable size socket wrench 1.
" 09924-84521: Bearing installer
NOTE:
Press the swingarm bushings at 8 mm depth from the swingarm
edge. (#5-49)
